TYLER TIRVA (C) VS KONGO KONG
The Crossfire Heavyweight Champion enters this title defence with “Go Time” Chris LaPlante in his corner to counter Alexander The Great, manager of Kongo Kong. These men have met twice previously with Kong successfully retaining his Heavyweight title back in 2018 and with their second meeting declared a No Contest after Kong wrestled while under suspension in June 2022 resulting in Tirva retaining his Heavyweight title. With the Win, Tirva could retain his belt and even the series at 1 win a piece between them. Kongo is looking to become only the second two time champion in Crossfire history.
KRYSTAL MOON (C) VS ADDY STARR
Krystal Moon has impressed with her return to Crossfire. Not the young rookie we saw in 2017, Moon captured the Crossfire Womens Championship in an upset victory over CC Moss that showcased the new champ is tough as nails. Her first defense in June against dangerous veteran Addy Starr saw Moons ring IQ with spectacular counters and perfect timing to frustrate her more experienced opponent. She will need to draw again on her resolve as Addy Starr’s petition for a rematch was granted in a format she excels at, a no disqualification match. Starr is one of the most ruthless and violent wrestlers out there. Lego anyone?
DADDY DAVIS VS TOSTER
Both men are on impressive winning streaks with Davis getting past Stone Rockwell and Toster overcoming Ricky Willdy in June. The men’s division is stacked as a murderer’s row so a third consecutive win for either will put them into title contention. Davis is a savvy veteran with a ton of experience and titles through his career. Toster has teamed up with Gary Gambino as both have endured and survived cancer. Their shared experiences are what fuels Toster’s perseverance and is driving his winning streak. But someone’s 0 has to go.
RICKY WILLDY VS TARIK
Extremely talented wrestlers with eyes on the title collide looking to get their campaigns back on track in the win column. Willdy and Tarik are both coming off losses in June but both men looked good in defeat. Willdy may have shot himself in the foot with a barrage of incendiary comments towards Toster and Gary Gambino and thus got to close to the hornets’ nest in a pyrrhic victory as his rhetoric cost him a win in the ring. Tarik faced former Crossfire heavyweight and tag team champion Kongo Kong. He had the monster in trouble and survived some of Kongs best attacks only to come up short. Had he won it would have been a massive upset, and he was oh so close. Both men will be competing with urgency this September.
RAGE
After getting help from Terri Runnels and becoming the inagural AAC, Rage's first defence came against former 2 time Crossfire Heavyweight Champion Deaner in June. In what appeared at first to be a changing of the title with a Deaner win, the referee had disaqualified Rage for physical abuse of an official. Therefore Rage kept his title dispite the loss. During that same match Rage also assaulted Crossfire Commissioner Frank Newman. It is a guarantee that Newman will levy some form of punitive action but this remains to be announnced by the office. As for now Rage is suspened from competing until that punishment has been handed down. Rage will be at Fired Up 2022 however to mingle with his adoring fans.
THE DEADLY VENOMS
The Deadly Venoms emerge as the greatest tag team in Crossfire Wrestling History with their defeat of the only other 3 time Tag Team Champion team The Dirty Vets. With an unprecidented fourth reign as champions, the Venoms stand atop the division alone. No team has been signed as of this writing to face them in September, but they will be there to compete. Who exactly can stand before the GOAT champions?
WWE ALUM ROBBIE MACALLISTER
The highly energetic Scottsman Robbie will be at Crossfire Fired Up to talk to fans and interact. The former WWE Superstar was one half of the Highlanders, a high impact Tag Team that took the WWE by storm in 2006. Robbie has also competed in Crossfire in years past and is always a fan favourite.
